Well, what a fascinating group of residents. Who can tell what the outcome will be? Mystery always makes these things better~

[after a moment, here goes a short list of names of those who work at the Spa, mainly NPCs but with Rauxes, Rain, and Castor's names as well.]

Is everyone going to be alright?

Indeed. Death is somewhat more ethereal in Edensphere.

Have you been told of the difference between death and disappearance yet?

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Master Rain explained it to me. It sounded to me like the only difference was death by physical contact versus death by magic.

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes...did he tell you what it normally implies?

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Only that the magic makes it harder for people to return.

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. That's why disappearing is more concerning than dying.

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I must have disappeared then.

And this is why I'm sad no one found her body :(

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry.

But this is a plane of chaos - surely there are no more strict rules to dying than there are to living.

:(

No need to apologize, Miss Rauxes.

Life, death, all are instruments and material to be subject to whims in this realm.

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
I feel obligated to anyway. I often wonder if anything here isn't subject to whims, as you say.

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
There's a quote I think would suit this...give me a moment, I'll recall.

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-31 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, like from a book or theater?

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2010-12-31 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, from a book.

I've got it now. "Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind."

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2010-12-31 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
But how sacred can it be if we've lost so much?

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2010-12-31 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Without memories, the raw ingredients of ourselves are exposed, maintaining structure without substance. Even though we forget our very names, we still know our souls.

A voice of experience, Mistress Juliet? I can't quite agree, but then I've not been here long.

[identity profile] esoteric_rose.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
My views on the Sphere tend to be somewhat...unorthodox, so I'd say simply take it with a caution.

[identity profile] white-disciple.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Very well then.
