*Red inked entry. There is what looks like starts of sentences crossed out, and the names Bridge and Locket are legible.

Flowers are next being drawn slowly: a violet, lily, rose, snapdragon, tuberose, five leafed clover, and hydrangea, done over half an hour.*

Perhaps it is someone whose company you will enjoy. If it is truly that galling, you could refuse to attend.
